TEST pools
Pools set up so real, healthy data triggers them.
Why they exist
No real depeg of AAPLx or AAPLon has happened. To show a full cycle, from observations to a trigger, a claim and a withdrawal, with real Pyth data, some pools are set so that healthy data crosses their trigger.
How they differ
| Parameter | Production | TEST |
|---|---|---|
| X | 2% | −0.5% |
| T | 30 minutes | 2 minutes |
| G | 5 minutes | 1 minute |
| Payout cap | 20% | 2% |
| Sessions | regular only | regular, pre-market, post-market, overnight |
With X at −0.5%, the trigger level sits above zero: a wrapper trading at its fair value already “fails”. A TEST trigger says nothing about the issuer.
How to recognize them
The program refuses such parameters unless the pool carries a TEST flag on chain. Everywhere in the app, a TEST pool is named “TEST pool” and carries the note: TEST pool: parameters set so healthy data triggers it. No real depeg has occurred.
